FIRST RESPONDER & MILITARY DISCOUNTS

As a salute to your service and selfless dedication to the community and nation, the Door County Y is proud to offer discounted rates on monthly memberships for first responders as well as active-duty and veterans. Please bring appropriate verification to activate your discount: military ID, DD214, state-issued ID with veteran designation, etc.

First Responders

All first responders - EMTs, firefighters and police/law enforcement - are eligible to have the joiner fee waived and receive a 10% discount on their monthly membership draft while employed through a qualifying profession. The eligible first responder will need to provide verification - ID badge or other documentation - of status.

Military - Active Duty Coast Guard

Any active duty Coast Guard personnel stationed in Door County are eligible for an individual membership for the duration of their assignment through the United States Coast Guard's (USCG) Workplace Wellness/Corporate Membership agreement with the Door County YMCA. If that individual would like to include their spouse and dependent children on a household membership, the household rate will be discounted by the individual monthly rate of the qualifying service member. Eligibility will be ultimately determined through rosters of eligible individuals supplied by the USCG.

Military - Active Duty On-Leave (all other branches)

Individuals who are active duty are eligible for a temporary individual membership while they are on-leave and home in Door County. To qualify, please bring your Military Leave Form (or provide an electronic screenshot) and a current military ID to verify eligibility.

Veterans pay no joiner fee and are eligible for a 20% discount rate on monthly membership rates. To qualify, please bring proof of status to verify eligibility (Department of Defense ID card, Veteran Health ID card, Veteran ID card, State-issued ID with Veterans designation or DD214 Form w/ status of honorable discharge).
